Our Enduring Mission
Since our founding in 1989, the Minnesota Sinfonia has been dedicated to providing high-quality musical experiences for everyone, especially families, young people, and those with limited access to the arts. We believe music is a vital bridge that connects diverse communities, fosters creativity, and enhances academic learning.
By breaking down traditional barriers to classical music, our concerts and educational outreach programs have consistently prioritized inclusivity, artistic excellence, and community engagement.
Commitment to Posterity
As live operations transition into this permanent digital archive, our commitment to posterity ensures that our impact continues to ripple forward. Before the pause in our live schedules, our Music in the Schools (MIS) program engaged 18 to 20 schools and reached between 9,000 and 10,000 students annually, ultimately touching the lives of more than 150,000 Minnesota students.
This digital resource hub acts as a bridge for future generations—keeping turnkey, video-backed curriculum guides and multi-disciplinary educational modules directly in the hands of educators, safeguarding our history, and preserving our educational footprint for decades to come.
