Alastair has worked as a freelance musician since 2000 with the Sinfonia, as a substitute with MN Orchestra, MN Opera, and as Violinist for Zeitgeist New Music.

He teaches at Minnesota Valley Conservatory of Music.

Alastair earned his Bachelor of Music studying violin/viola from City University of New York-Brooklyn College.

He also repairs and restores violins.
