Water, Our Most Precious Resource

For the 2022-2023 school year, the focus is on water. “Water, Our Most Precious Resource” examines how ideas about water and its importance in human affairs – be it travel, recreation, weather or story – are used in various ways in music. The complete Music in the Schools curriculum includes:

  • Curriculum packet (download below) which includes descriptions of the music, composers, and backgrounds
  • State-mandated benchmarks and activities for grade levels K-6

PLEASE help The Minnesota Sinfonia continue to secure funding for the Music in the Schools program – which is provided FREE OF CHARGE to the schools and students – by completing the survey after the “Sinfonia Day” concert at your school. It only takes a few moments to answer a quick SURVEY with easy questions about your students’ MIS experience. Your input is important. THANK YOU!
