Sinfonia –Young Artist Competition
Music
Students…
Just a quick reminder for those of you who are under the
age of 21, and play a string instrument. Do plan to participate
in this year’s Young Artist Competition. The first
place winner for the senior division will receive the Claire
Givens Violin Prize of $500, plus a solo performance with
the Sinfonia during the fourth set of Great Winter Festival
concerts. All junior contestants will receive a certificate
and the winner will play with the orchestra at the Holiday
Family Pops concerts.
Registration and the appropriate fee must be mailed
to the Sinfonia no later than February 23rd , 2009. The
contest date is Sunday, March 15th, and will be held at
the University of Saint Thomas Music building.
