Brandon is thirteen years old and began has violin studies at the age of five with his current teacher, Yuko Heberlein. He is a member of the symphony orchestra with Minnesota Youth Symphonies. In addition to winning the junior division of the Minnesota Sinfonia Concerto competition in 2011, Brandon has won a Givens prize from the MNSOTA competition and other awards and honors from the Schubert Club, the MacPhail Center for Music, and the St. Paul Conservatory of Music. Last summer, Brandon was selected to participate in the Innsbrook Institute Summer Music Academy in Innsbrook, Missouri.
Brandon lives in Lino Lakes with his parents and two brothers. Brandon’s other interests include reading, traveling, baseball, football, and card games.
