Young Artist Competition

The Young Artist Competition is an annual competition for musicians up to age 21. Held every spring, the contest attracts residents of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin. Both the Junior and Senior Division winners are awarded solo appearances with the Minnesota Sinfonia, and the Senior Division winner receives The Claire Givens Violins $500 cash prize.

Competition Details

The 2012 Competition will be held on March 25, 2012 at 12pm at St. Thomas University in St. Paul.  Entry deadline is March 14, 2012.
The competition is open to residents of MN, WI, IA, ND, and SD.
Performances limited to Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass.
The Junior Division is open to applicants up to age 14 (born on or after 1/1/98)
The Senior Division is open to applicants up to age  21 (born on or after 1/1/91)
